Combinations of photographic styles are a key component of the CME Group brand. Consider these specific types of photography when communicating the CME Group brand:
Environmental photography captures a bold and grand perspective that demonstrate the essential dynamic nature of our business.
Textural photography adds dimension to our reach, influence, and essential presence in the global economy through close-ups and abstract patterns.
Duotone photography creates structure within our visual system for both environmental and textural photography styles.
Portrait photography can convey confidence and approachability in an individual. Select a well-lit studio or modern environment for the photo session. Studio portraits should be color-matched to a CME Group primary brand color. Backgrounds can be in or out of focus and should provide visual interest without overpowering the subject.
Using a stock photo found online might seem like an easy solution for graphic design, but you must have the legal rights to use any image. You must use either company-owned assets or commission an original photo with appropriate approval. If you need a stock image, contact brand@cmegroup.com. To avoid conflicts or issues with stock photography, it’s always better to make sure you have the proper approvals before getting too far down the wrong path. If you’re using stock photos, make sure they are properly licensed, pre-approved and up-to-date. Check that they are color-correct and print-ready.
